About the Company

ConnectYou is a recognised recruitment specialist focused on the Power Transmission & Distribution space across Australia and New Zealand. The company supports the energy transition by placing strong talent with organisations driving progress toward a sustainable future. Its work helps build the workforce behind the renewable energy pipeline and supports the ANZ region’s path to Net Zero goals.

The Role

This position offers structured one-to-one training from a line manager with more than ten years of sector experience. It is well suited to someone beginning a recruitment career or looking to grow further in the field. As an Associate Recruitment Consultant on the Technical Sales & Energy Solutions desk, you will help match high-calibre candidates with leading opportunities in an industry that supports vital infrastructure and renewable energy growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business development and sales efforts by identifying prospective clients and broadening the company’s reach within the Power Transmission & Distribution sector.
  • Create and manage a strong candidate pipeline using outreach, referrals, advertising, and the internal talent database.
  • Spot suitable leads and roles, and align client requirements with candidate profiles through effective recruitment methods.
  • Connect with candidates through phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and networking events within the industry.
  • Advise both clients and candidates throughout the hiring journey to help achieve successful placements.
  • Handle salary and consulting fee negotiations while keeping industry norms and expectations in mind.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in sales, regardless of industry.
  • A willingness to learn recruitment and a self-driven, coachable attitude.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the confidence to engage professionally at all levels after training.
  • Strong resilience and flexibility in a busy environment, along with care for accuracy and quality.
  • A positive mindset and determination to perform well even when challenges arise.

Why Join Us

You will be part of a team that values growth, collaboration, and meaningful impact in the energy sector. The role provides a supportive environment where you can develop your career while contributing to an important industry transformation.
