Role overview

The Associate, Investments will partner closely with members of the investment team to carry out actuarial and financial modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, pro forma projections, and large-scale data analysis. The goal of the role is to strengthen portfolio performance, assess investment ideas, and support risk, capital, and portfolio management. This position also involves developing analytical tools, identifying and tracking major risk drivers, and improving reporting processes to boost efficiency and scale.

Key responsibilities

• Help oversee the day-to-day management of existing asset portfolios.
• Create and validate attribution tools that highlight the main performance drivers and suggest portfolio improvements.
• Work with asset managers to shape investment recommendations using current market conditions.
• Assess potential investment opportunities and judge the effectiveness of interest-rate and FX hedging approaches.
• Coordinate with other teams on capital and risk work, including asset modeling, cash flow testing, and economic valuation.
• Improve data movement, workflow design, and operational efficiency.
• Develop productive working relationships across departments and functions.

What the role requires

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or finance-related field.
• About 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or financial analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Working knowledge of financial markets and investment instruments.
• Exposure to ALM, insurance products, and financial modeling.
• Experience with Bloomberg and advanced Excel is preferred.
• Python, R, Matlab, and SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Solid technical ability in analysis and reporting using MS Office.
• Capacity to take ownership, show initiative, and collaborate across teams.
• Strong documentation practices, communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 135,000, with final pay aligned to experience and local labor market conditions. Employees are also eligible for an annual bonus tied to company and individual performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
