Position Overview

The Associate Director of Qualitative Research Project Management leads a team comprising Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure top-notch project execution and superior client satisfaction. Reporting to the Senior Director of Project Management, this role bridges strategy with practical delivery by translating leadership directives into clear team actions, while also identifying risks and opportunities from frontline insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of 4–6 Project Managers plus additional Coordinators, monitoring performance and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Assign and staff new projects promptly, balancing workload, experience, and client needs, ensuring less than 24-hour placement.
  • Manage day-to-day project delivery oversight to maintain consistency, quality, and schedule adherence, while handling escalations and risk mitigation proactively.
  • Implement and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting quality audits and suggesting process enhancements in collaboration with leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Recruiting, and other teams to ensure alignment from project feasibility through execution.
  • Identify team development areas, facilitate coaching and training, and manage performance issues including disciplinary actions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing Project Managers or comparable roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in qualitative project management or related fields.
  • Strong skills in analytics, organization, problem-solving, and advanced proficiency with project management tools and Excel.
  • Experience thriving within high-volume and fast-paced environments.
