Job description
Role overview
As an Assistant Revenue Manager, you’ll back the Revenue Manager in driving hotel revenue and profitability. The focus of the role is on pricing decisions, room inventory control, forecasting, and market analysis. You’ll coordinate with Sales, Reservations, Front Office, and Marketing to fine-tune room revenue and keep revenue plans aligned with the property’s business goals. This position suits someone with solid analytical ability, strong attention to detail, and prior exposure to revenue management in the hospitality sector.
Key duties
- Help put revenue management plans into action to improve hotel revenue and profitability.
- Track room inventory, rate positioning, and distribution across all selling platforms.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and wider market movement.
- Create demand forecasts and suggest pricing actions based on current market conditions.
- Watch competitor rates and market intelligence to spot revenue opportunities.
- Oversee room inventory allocation to support stronger occupancy and revenue outcomes.
- Assist with day-to-day use and administration of RMS, CRS, PMS, and channel management systems.
- Compile and share daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
- Partner with Sales, Reservations, Front Office, and Marketing teams to improve overall business performance.
- Check that pricing remains accurate and consistent across all distribution channels and online travel agencies.
- Support budget, forecast, and business plan preparation.
- Look for ways to strengthen revenue results and streamline operations.
- Keep records accurate and ensure work follows company policies and brand standards.
- Stay current on hospitality trends, competitor movements, and industry best practices.
- Handle other tasks assigned by the Revenue Manager or Director of Revenue.
