Job description
About the organisation
HelloSelf is a digital therapy and coaching provider focused on helping people improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Its video-based platform connects members with leading psychologists and CBT therapists across the UK, offering a convenient and flexible way to access support. By combining technology with clinical expertise, the organisation aims to go beyond traditional therapy and use AI to help people make lasting progress.
The company is addressing a significant gap in mental health support in the UK and internationally. Its mission is to keep improving wellbeing through innovation. The team is described as small, talented, energetic, inclusive, and supportive, with strong clinical and commercial leadership. The role offers the chance to work with advanced technology in a collaborative environment.
About the role
HelloSelf is hiring an Assistant Psychologist to help deliver high-quality services across NHS, private healthcare, and corporate partnerships. The successful candidate will support work across the wider business and will be managed and supervised by a Consultant Psychologist.
This person will often be the first contact for members and will help make the therapy journey smooth and reassuring from booking through to discharge. Communication will happen by phone, email, and SMS, and the role includes collecting, checking, and updating referral details, while handling sensitive information with care, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
This is a fixed-term position for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Key responsibilities
- Support clinical triage work under the guidance of the clinical team and take part in weekly supervision to strengthen professional practice.
- Gather, analyse, and present outcome data, contribute to therapist practice audits, and work with partners on service quality matters.
- Help members move smoothly through the therapy process, from initial booking through to discharge.
- Assist with research and development activity, and contribute to the creation of new products for members and therapists.
Candidate profile
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society, with eligibility for the graduate basis for chartership.
- Ability to organise, interpret, and clearly present data for different audiences.
- Strong digital confidence, with the ability to learn and use multiple systems, platforms, and CRM tools quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience with Zendesk, Aircall, or similar tools is preferred.
- Comfortable speaking with partner organisations by phone and video.
- Collaborative mindset, positive approach, and willingness to reflect, learn, and grow.
- Strong interest in mental health technology.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Psychologist role is preferred.
Benefits
- Flexible holiday allowance.
- £250 personal development fund for growth and learning.
- Pension contributions.
Application process
To help ensure fairness, applicants will be asked to complete a short capability questionnaire after applying, which should take no more than 10 minutes. Candidates who progress will then be invited to interview.
