This role is with a Kolkata-based manufacturing business founded in 1967. The organisation is known for producing replacement spare parts and railway seats for markets across eastern India.
Role overview
The Assistant Production Supervisor will support day-to-day factory floor activities at the Balitikuri, Howrah manufacturing unit. The position focuses on coordinating production flow, monitoring quality during the process, and keeping operations aligned with shop-floor requirements.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee routine shop-floor work, check product quality during production, address quality-related concerns, prepare PMS reports, coordinate with vendors, train operators, and manage petty cash as needed.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for a practical, hands-on Assistant Production Supervisor with experience in machine planning, in-process inspection, and vendor coordination. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, ERP systems, MS Office, and ISO documentation is expected.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an ITI qualification.
