Job description

Role Overview

Studio B is a rapidly expanding creative production business with a worldwide audience of more than 20 million followers. The team specialises in social-first, VFX-driven content for major brands and is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Producer to help run day-to-day project delivery.

This is not a junior production position. The ideal candidate will already understand how creative agencies, studios and production teams work, and should be ready to own daily project coordination from the outset. The company is growing quickly, so this person should be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently in an environment where systems and processes are still developing. They should be able to identify gaps, solve issues, foresee problems and keep work progressing with minimal supervision, while partnering closely with Producers to shape content from initial idea through to final delivery.

The role is full-time and based in the North London studio in Mill Hill, NW7, Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the daily progress of several projects, keeping schedules, deadlines, review rounds and key milestones on track from the initial brief to final handover.
  • Create and maintain schedules, call sheets, trackers and production documents, while spotting risks, missing information and possible delays early.
  • Serve as a key contact for clients and internal teams, join calls, share updates, organise feedback, chase approvals and make sure follow-up actions are completed. Escalate issues to Producers when needed.
  • Support creative brainstorming and help turn ideas into workable production plans, treatments and shoot approaches.
  • Prepare draft budgets, gather quotes, monitor spend and assist Producers in protecting project margin and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate VFX-heavy projects through post-production, managing feedback, approvals, deadlines and delivery needs while keeping communication clear between clients, creatives, editors, artists and Producers.
  • Organise talent, crew, locations, suppliers, equipment and logistics so shoots run efficiently and professionally.
  • Work alongside Producers, Creatives, Editors, Production Assistants and freelancers to ensure projects move forward smoothly and everyone has what they need.

Candidate Profile

The company is seeking someone with at least 3 years of experience in production, ideally gained in a creative agency, social content studio, production company or another similarly fast-moving environment. Experience with VFX-led work and a solid grasp of post-production processes, review cycles and delivery steps is important.

You should understand the full production lifecycle across pre-production, production and post-production, and be comfortable dealing with agencies, clients and creative teams. Strong organisation, meticulous attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality are essential.

The right person will be self-directed, practical and solutions-oriented, able to assess what needs to happen next and take ownership without constant input. You should be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, bringing clarity to busy workflows, and adapting quickly as priorities shift in a growing business. The role also requires someone who can stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly and consistently follow through on details.

This opportunity is suited to someone who wants to progress in production and move towards a Producer role over time.

First 30 Days Success Criteria

  • Develop a quick understanding of Studio B’s clients, workflows and operating style.
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of active projects.
  • Bring order and structure to a fast-paced setting by proactively spotting risks and resolving issues.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, freelancers and internal colleagues.
  • Work with increasing independence so Producers feel confident that details are being managed properly and nothing is being missed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Producer role or a comparable production position within a creative agency, production company, content studio or similar environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder handling, project management, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on experience working with VFX, animation or post-production teams.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with branded content, creator-led productions or social-first campaigns.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Monday.com, Asana or similar tools.

What Studio B Offers

  • Access to performance and wellbeing coaching, including ongoing one-to-one support designed to help with pressure, resilience, mindset and overall performance.
  • Real scope to grow, take ownership and help shape the role as the company scales.
  • Close exposure to senior leadership and decision-making.
  • A supportive, energetic culture where collaboration and growth are encouraged.
  • The chance to make a visible impact, with contributions that are recognised and valued.

Additional Information

Studio B says it uses AI tools internally to work faster and more efficiently, and welcomes candidates who do the same. However, applicants are asked to respond in their own voice and thinking, as submissions that appear heavily AI-generated may not be considered further.

If this sounds like a fit, the company invites interested candidates to apply.
