About the Employer
Wynn Al Marjan Island is an upscale beachside resort destination scheduled to open in the United Arab Emirates in 2027. Set on a scenic island that curves into the Arabian Gulf and located under 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, the integrated development will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining and lounge venues, a theatre, a nightclub, and a five-star spa.
About the Role
The resort is looking for an Assistant Manager for Uniform Control & Production to support the Uniform Control team. This role focuses on managing the full uniform lifecycle, from creative concept through production and final delivery, while ensuring quality, brand alignment, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full process of designing and producing uniforms, from initial ideas through to completion.
- Work with external vendors to make sure designs reflect the brand image and meet functional needs.
- Track production schedules and quality benchmarks to ensure every item matches the required specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers on fabric selection, sample development, and manufacturing timelines.
- Keep detailed records of inventory, production progress, and cost-related updates.
- Assist during fitting sessions and help incorporate feedback for alterations and improvements.
- Ensure all production activities follow company policies as well as health and safety standards.
- Compile status updates and progress reports for management, including key issues and project risks.
- Report to the Director of Uniform Design and collaborate closely for approvals, creative alignment, and direction.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should bring a background in fashion, textiles, or a related discipline, along with hands-on experience in uniform or garment production. The role also calls for solid technical knowledge, strong coordination skills, and the ability to perform in a multicultural, high-pressure environment.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a similar field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in uniform production or garment manufacturing, ideally within hospitality or luxury environments.
- Good understanding of garment construction, textile care, and end-to-end production workflows.
- Comfort using Photoshop and MS Office; experience with CLO3D is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is also considered helpful.
- Strong planning, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Capability to manage several projects at once in a fast-moving, multicultural workplace.
