Role overview

Income Insurance Limited is looking for an Assistant Manager, Distribution Support (Middle Office) in Singapore. This full-time, on-site role focuses on fit and proper assessments, process support, reporting, and coordination with internal teams and candidates.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in handling more complex fit and proper review cases that must be cleared under HAA (Hiring Authority Approval).
  • Help design, review, and implement structured work processes so service level agreements are consistently achieved.
  • Contribute to the review and rollout of the fit and proper framework, ensuring operational changes are introduced smoothly.
  • Carry out fit and proper assessments for representative appointments under the Representative Notification Framework (RNF) within the required timeline.
  • Evaluate each candidate’s suitability and prepare recommendations based on the assessment.
  • Identify negative findings and escalate cases when further review is needed.
  • Ensure all candidate documentation is complete and in order.
  • Coordinate with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders on recruitment-related matters, including missing due diligence documents and signing of Agency Agreements.
  • Prepare and share regular reports and statistics related to candidates and representative appointments for Distribution Channels.
  • Perform recurring declarations and checks, including daily credit monitoring of representatives’ financial standing and annual self-declarations.
  • Support audit-related requests tied to fit and proper assessments.
  • Review existing processes regularly to improve efficiency and relevance.
  • Take on any other projects or duties assigned by the team.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in any field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Distribution Support, with particular exposure to MAS Representative Notification Framework matters.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong planning and organizational ability, with the capacity to manage deadlines and pressure effectively.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and driven by results.
  • Careful and detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to influence different stakeholders.

Additional information

This role requires someone who can support compliance-related assessment work, maintain documentation quality, contribute to reporting, and help improve operating procedures within distribution support.
