Role overview
upGrad’s Higher Education business is looking for an Assistant Manager in Brand Marketing to shape and run brand initiatives that improve visibility in the education technology sector, build stronger relevance with audiences such as educators, administrators, and learners, and contribute to growth through engaging storytelling and joined-up campaigns.
What you'll do
- Create, sharpen, and consistently promote the company’s brand voice and value proposition across all relevant channels.
- Build brand positioning that connects well with educators, learners, institutions, and partners.
- Plan and deliver integrated brand campaigns across digital, social, events, and content to improve awareness, trust, and engagement.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders so campaigns stay aligned with product launches and broader business priorities.
- Lead the creation of marketing materials such as videos, presentations, website pages, case studies, thought leadership content, and social posts that reflect the brand story.
- Coordinate with internal teams and/or external agencies to ensure creative output remains consistent with brand standards.
- Set KPIs, monitor brand health indicators, and evaluate campaign results to guide improvements.
- Use performance data to refine messaging, audience targeting, and channel choices.
- Collaborate with Product, Content, Sales, Customer Success, and Events teams to align brand and go-to-market activities.
- Support key initiatives including conferences, product launches, and RFP responses with tailored brand communication.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Between 4 and 6+ years of experience in brand marketing or broader marketing roles, preferably with exposure to edtech, SaaS, or mission-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated success in leading brand campaigns that improve awareness and engagement.
- Strong storytelling ability, including the skill to turn complex technical or educational ideas into clear and persuasive messaging.
- Sound strategic thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience managing projects and campaigns while coordinating across multiple teams.
- Comfort working with analytics and making decisions based on data.
- Familiarity with digital marketing practices such as social media, email, SEO, and social media marketing.
