Role Overview
This position supports housekeeping training for Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha. The role focuses on helping colleagues build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to deliver exceptional housekeeping service at luxury-brand standards. You will work with the housekeeping leadership team to strengthen learning, consistency, and operational quality across the department.
What You Will Do
- Help plan, organize, and deliver housekeeping training aligned with the service expectations of both hotels.
- Support the onboarding process and help new housekeeping colleagues understand brand standards, procedures, and guest service expectations.
- Provide on-the-job coaching, training follow-ups, and performance support to encourage continuous improvement.
- Observe housekeeping operations to confirm that cleanliness, presentation, and service quality remain consistently high.
- Work with housekeeping leaders to identify skill gaps and roll out development actions that improve team performance and engagement.
- Make sure colleagues are well trained in room standards, public-area standards, hygiene, health and safety, and luxury service routines.
- Assist with quality checks, inspections, audits, and feedback discussions to uphold operational excellence.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other teams to support smooth communication and efficient service flow.
- Encourage professionalism, collaboration, and a mindset of continuous improvement within the housekeeping team.
- Maintain training records, attendance logs, and departmental reports according to company procedures.
- Respond to colleague questions and operational issues in a professional, discreet, and solution-focused way.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand requirements, hygiene rules, and health and safety standards.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and motivating workplace that reflects the elegance and service culture of both brands.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has experience in housekeeping operations, training, or supervisory work in a luxury hotel setting. You should understand housekeeping processes, service standards, cleaning methods, and quality control practices. Strong English communication skills are needed, and other languages are an advantage.
You should bring coaching ability, mentoring skills, and a genuine interest in helping colleagues develop. Confidence in leading training sessions, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment are important. Familiarity with hotel systems and Microsoft Office is preferred, along with strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to work well across departments.
Knowledge of hygiene, health and safety, and brand compliance standards is required. The role also calls for flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed. A passion for luxury hospitality and a commitment to upholding the standards of Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha are essential.
