Job description

About The Ned Doha

The Ned Doha is located inside Doha’s historic former Ministry of Interior building and combines heritage character with polished luxury and modern design. It offers seven dining venues, 90 rooms, dedicated event areas, and Ned’s Club — a private members’ club featuring a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool.

Role Overview

This position is suited to a security professional who enjoys leading people while protecting guests, colleagues, and property. The Assistant Head of Security will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional atmosphere throughout the hotel and club operations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist the Director of Security with the daily running of the department, guide and support the security team, and help uphold a consistently high standard of service and safety. The job also involves monitoring security systems and procedures, responding to incidents, supporting investigations, preparing reports, and putting preventive measures in place. You will work closely with other departments and outside stakeholders when needed, carry out routine inspections and risk reviews, and contribute to staff training and awareness-building initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a supervisory or leadership-level security role, preferably in hospitality, hotels, or a similar environment. A strong understanding of security operations, emergency response, and health and safety practices is important, along with the confidence to make sound decisions under pressure. The role also calls for excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. English fluency is required, while additional languages are an advantage. A polished appearance, service-focused attitude, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays are also essential.

Benefits and Reward Package

The position offers a tax-free annual salary package of QAR 138,000, 21 calendar days of annual leave, and 11 paid public holidays. Additional benefits include sick leave in line with Qatar Labour Law, private medical insurance for the employee, end-of-service benefits, complimentary meals at the team restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, exclusive hotel and dining discounts for the employee and their family and friends, and access to strong learning, development, and career growth opportunities. The role also comes with reward and recognition programmes and the chance to work in one of Doha’s most iconic lifestyle destinations.

Culture

The workplace values inclusion, respect, and opportunity, and encourages everyone to keep improving together. The organisation aims to build an environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed and contribute meaningfully.
