Role overview
Crossmedia is hiring an Assistant Buyer, Integrated Media Investment to support the everyday management of paid media campaigns. This entry-level opportunity is a strong fit for someone who is curious, organized, comfortable with numbers, and excited about advertising.
In this role, you will help execute, maintain, and report on media buys across both traditional and digital channels. You will partner with internal teams, media vendors, and outside partners to keep campaigns running accurately and efficiently while developing a foundation in media planning, buying, pricing, performance analysis, and client support.
Key responsibilities
- Support the creation of media authorizations and insertion orders needed to launch campaigns.
- Input campaign details and keep internal records current in systems such as OneStrata and investment trackers.
- Coordinate timing and deliverables so vendors receive creative specs and assets on schedule.
- Track campaign pacing and delivery, and alert the team when performance is running below or above plan.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries using data from media partners, platforms, and internal reporting tools.
- Review actual delivery against planned goals and assist with optimization suggestions.
- Help build and refresh post-buy analysis materials for client-facing presentations.
- Monitor billing activity and collaborate with finance to fix discrepancies or reconcile vendor invoices.
- Maintain budget trackers and support updates to planned versus actual spending.
- Keep organized records of contracts, screenshots, and proof-of-performance materials.
- Work directly with vendors to confirm buys, collect reporting data, and solve execution issues.
- Attend vendor meetings and capture notes that help the broader team assess new opportunities.
- Join team meetings, client briefings, and status calls as needed and document key takeaways.
- Take part in training to build knowledge of buying systems, analytics tools, and the media industry overall.
- Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organization and a sharp eye for detail.
- Comfort with numbers and strong numerical aptitude.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Genuine interest in media buying and media planning.
- Previous experience in a marketing, advertising, or media agency environment is preferred.
Work arrangement
This position requires proximity to the New York office. The role follows a hybrid schedule, with employees working both onsite and from home. Assistants are expected in the office about two days per week for training, collaboration, and ongoing learning.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $45,000 to $48,000 per year, depending on experience. Final compensation is influenced by skills, qualifications, certifications, industry tenure, and overall experience, along with the needs of the position.
Benefits and perks
- Hybrid flexibility with a mix of office and remote work, depending on the role.
- Open and flexible PTO with separate US and UK policies.
- Sponsored healthcare options plus company-wide physical and mental wellness support.
- 401(k) with company match in the US and a generous pension in the UK.
- Paid sabbatical at major milestone anniversaries.
- Generous paid parental leave.
- Recognition and support for life milestones.
- The Pursuit of Happiness Fund for travel, enrichment, fitness, or professional development.
- Cell phone and technology reimbursement.
- Student loan repayment support in the US.
- Tuition reimbursement.
- Learning and development programs and training opportunities.
- Food perk: burgers are a recurring company benefit.
Diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity
Crossmedia says diversity is central to its culture. As a minority-owned company, inclusion has been built into its practices for years, with a leadership team that includes significant representation of people of color and women.
