You will join Lam Research’s Global Operations Group, which connects information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and large-scale manufacturing to keep global business operations running efficiently. Role summary
As an Assembler, you will carry out assembly work on wafer fabrication equipment. The role calls for confidence using computer-guided instructions, hand tools, and fixtures in a manufacturing clean-room setting.
Key responsibilities
- Use digital work instructions to fit parts and hardware on wafer fabrication equipment, including use of hand tools and fixtures where required, in a clean-room manufacturing environment.
- Interpret work instructions and schematics accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to keep production flow and delivery timelines on track.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, including rework tasks and new product introduction (NPI) work.
- Check that the right components are received and carry out visual inspections before installation.
- Support audits by visually checking items and confirming checklists when needed.
- Keep the work area tidy, orderly, and well organized.
- Consistently demonstrate conduct that reflects the company’s core values.
Safety expectations
- Complete all mandatory safety training.
- Follow personal and product safety rules, including correct PPE use and clean-room procedures.
- Comply with Lockout Tagout requirements, including LOTO and ZEST.
- Use lifting and assembly aids such as lift hoists, lift tracks, gantry cranes, and lifting tools when assembling equipment.
- Carry out RMBWA safety checks and document, fix, or escalate hazards to the right people or departments.
- Act quickly when unsafe behavior is observed and escalate unresolved safety issues to the appropriate management level.
Communication expectations
- Share information promptly with supervisors and colleagues by phone, email, written updates, or in person.
- Communicate production concerns, improvement ideas, and shift handover status clearly to the relevant teams or sites.
- Participate actively in meetings and training sessions.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has a diploma in an engineering discipline, along with 1 to 2 years of related electrical or electronics assembly experience depending on level. Strong written and spoken English is required. You should be adaptable to changing priorities such as rework, overtime, and occasional travel to Lam or customer facilities. Comfort with computer-based systems and applications is essential, along with solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Experience in manufacturing or semiconductor capital equipment is an advantage.
Job requirements
- Be able to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
- Spend more than half the working time squatting, kneeling, walking, climbing, standing, and working in physically demanding postures.
- Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Perform repetitive hand movements and use a range of hand tools.
- Differentiate wire colors accurately.
- Handle tools and equipment such as calipers, circuit testers, wrenches, hoists, ohm meters, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, ladders/platforms, and snipping tools/cutters.

Work location model
This role follows a hybrid work model. Depending on the setup for the position, hybrid arrangements may be either On-site Flex or Virtual Flex. On-site Flex means working on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location at least 3 days per week, with the remaining time remote. Virtual Flex means being on-site 1 to 2 days per week and remote for the rest of the week.
