  • Support young artists directly and assist with event coordination.

  • Take photos and document work in progress as well as finished pieces.
  • Track attendance and monitor youth work hours.
  • Report disciplinary concerns when situations arise.
  • Travel in PRCS vans for field trips when required.
  • Handle other related tasks assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.

Schedule and Work Conditions

The role is expected to run from mid-June through early August. Workdays are Monday through Thursday, with possible weekend hours depending on program needs. Weekly hours are typically 20 to 25.

Working conditions may include outdoor weather exposure, including extreme heat, cold, and rain, as well as exposure to open water with changing conditions. Field trip travel in PRCS vans may also be part of the job.

Physical Requirements

This position involves regular physical activity and may at times require sustained effort. Tasks can include walking or running on rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, jumping, standing for long periods, and lifting or carrying moderate to heavy items, including people.

It may also include microphones, speakers, podiums, and stage furniture. Artistic and workshop tools may include sanders, sandpaper, primer, paint, sealer, wood, cameras, processing fluid, tongs, notebooks, pens, markers, and similar supplies.

Qualifications
