About the Company
Four is an independent international agency built on collaboration and creative thinking. Its team of around 250 people works across media, creative and communications from offices in London, Cardiff, Sheffield, and the UAE.
The MENA division supports government bodies, healthcare organisations, consumer brands, and corporate/B2B clients with integrated campaigns that build reputation, shape behaviour, and deliver measurable impact.
This opening is for an Art Director to join the UAE team in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and help set the visual standard across social, digital, and campaign work.
Role Overview
As Art Director, you will be responsible for steering the visual expression of social-first ideas and broader campaign creative. The role calls for strong conceptual thinking, polished execution, and the ability to turn strategy into engaging visual output across multiple formats.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and guide the visual approach for social-led campaigns, always-on content, and content series.
- Shape original ideas and convert them into compelling creative executions.
- Partner with copywriters, strategists, and account managers to develop and deliver ideas.
- Produce and supervise design output across static, motion, and video assets.
- Maintain brand alignment while continuing to push creative quality and originality.
- Provide direction to designers, motion specialists, and outside production partners when required.
- Apply a sharp sense of layout, typography, narrative, and visual consistency.
- Support pitches and new-business efforts with well-structured concepts and presentation-ready creative.
- Keep abreast of platform trends, content formats, and audience behaviours so creative remains current.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as an Art Director, Senior Designer, or in a comparable creative position, ideally within an agency environment.
- A portfolio that shows strong social, digital, and campaign-based work.
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Hands-on experience with static, motion, and video-led creative output.
- Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of craft.
- Comfort presenting ideas and explaining the reasoning behind creative decisions.
- Ability to handle several projects and deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively across functions.
Preferred Sector Experience
Experience in government, healthcare, consumer, or corporate/B2B work would be a plus.
