Role overview

The Art Director - Creative AI will drive forward-looking projects that combine artificial intelligence with creative problem-solving. This role calls for someone who can turn complex briefs into striking visual ideas, produce outstanding outcomes, and lead creative teams while keeping work aligned with budgets and deadlines. Success in this position depends on strong leadership, communication, and strategic judgment.

Main tasks

• Partner with strategy teams to develop and execute innovative creative ideas that make use of advanced AI capabilities.
• Guide designers and AI specialists across briefings, creative reviews, and presentations to ensure everyone is aligned and working collaboratively.
• Keep up with current AI developments, design approaches, and emerging tools so they can be applied effectively in projects.
• Ensure brand work is executed to a high standard, maintaining consistency and quality from concept development through final delivery.
• Handle several important projects at once while staying organized and calm under pressure.
• Help build a collaborative and respectful team environment that supports productive teamwork.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite at an advanced level and confidently work with the latest generative AI tools while guiding others in their use.
• Show strong ownership and a consistent focus on delivering excellent work.
• Create original concepts that support client needs and business goals, using AI tools where appropriate.
• Present creative ideas to stakeholders, respond to critique, and refine solutions based on shared feedback.
• Manage projects end to end, coordinating smoothly with internal teams and external partners.
• Set a clear creative direction that motivates the team and encourages innovation.
• Support collaboration by bringing together different viewpoints to strengthen creative output.
• Coach and develop emerging talent in a way that encourages growth and confidence.
• Stay adaptable, keep learning, and actively experiment with new AI tools and trends.

Experience and qualifications

This position requires at least 9 years of experience, supported by a strong creative portfolio that demonstrates original design thinking and high-quality execution. A solid understanding of the social media environment and online media technologies is also needed. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-moving creative setting and communicate well with a range of stakeholders.

Work location

This is an onsite role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
