Job description

Role overview

Artevo Consulting is hiring an Art Curator & Creative Designer for its Doha team. This position blends art research, curation, creative design, and project development. The role suits someone who understands contemporary art, design language, cultural storytelling, and visual communication, and can translate those ideas into strong client presentations for hospitality, commercial, cultural, and public-realm work.

The selected candidate will contribute to the discovery of artists, shaping of curatorial themes, preparation of artwork proposals, and overall creative development of art programs and installations.

Key responsibilities

  • Study project needs and shortlist artists, artworks, and creative directions that align with them.
  • Create curatorial concepts, narrative frameworks, and visually engaging storytelling presentations.
  • Support the development of art proposals, mood boards, artist decks, and artwork specifications.
  • Work with local and overseas artists, galleries, fabricators, and suppliers to move projects forward.
  • Assist in planning art programs for hospitality, commercial, residential, and public spaces.
  • Prepare presentation materials, artwork arrangements, and client-ready proposal documents.
  • Carry out art-market research and keep artist records and project archives updated.
  • Help with artwork selection, commissioning workflows, and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Partner with internal design teams to ensure artwork fits seamlessly into interior, architectural, and public settings.
  • Join site inspections, artist discussions, gallery visits, and presentations as needed.
  • Support artwork production, installation preparation, and project record-keeping.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, Visual Arts, Museum Studies, or a closely related discipline.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in art consultancy, gallery operations, curatorial work, design, or a similar creative role.
  • Strong awareness of contemporary art, cultural initiatives, and the wider creative sector.
  • Excellent ability to present ideas visually and communicate stories clearly.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with presentation tools.
  • Good research, planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling several projects and deadlines at the same time.
  • Strong English writing and speaking skills.
  • High attention to detail and a practical, creative approach to solving problems.

Preferred profile

  • Prior exposure to artists, galleries, museums, cultural institutions, or art consultancy work.
  • Knowledge of public art, placemaking, sculpture, and commissioned artwork projects.
  • Experience in preparing curatorial decks and artwork proposals.
  • Understanding of fabrication methods and artwork production workflows is beneficial.
  • Arabic language ability will be an added advantage.

What the company offers

  • Opportunity to contribute to prominent hospitality, cultural, and public art projects.
  • Exposure to international artists, designers, and other creative professionals.
  • A collaborative and fast-moving creative workplace.
  • Room for professional learning and career development.
  • Involvement in distinctive art, design, and placemaking initiatives across the region.
