Role overview
This remote contract-to-hire opportunity is for a Central Scheduler who will support appointment coordination for members and care teams. The role focuses on virtual outreach, guiding members through scheduling, and helping improve scheduling workflows by spotting issues and suggesting practical process changes. You will work closely with market operators, hub directors, and the Scheduling Lead to strengthen scheduling operations and encourage adoption of effective processes.
Schedule and pay
The position is fully remote and based on a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM EST. Compensation is $18 per hour.
Background requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare office environment.
- Experience in roles such as appointment scheduler, medical office assistant, appointment coordinator, or patient scheduler.
- Previous experience working in a HIPAA-compliant setting.
- Hands-on experience handling high-volume appointment scheduling and coordination.
- Outbound communication experience.
- Comfort working in a behavioral health environment.
- A steady and consistent work history.
Responsibilities
- Book appointments for new and returning members with the appropriate care team members, such as primary care providers, nurses, or others on the care team.
- Respond to questions from members and internal teams related to appointments.
- Record all member interactions in Commons and/or the EHR system.
- Confirm upcoming visits, make sure members know what to expect, and explain any technical steps needed for video appointments.
- Handle scheduling issues by updating appointments in EHR, Commons, Traumasoft, and other scheduling platforms.
