Job description
Role Overview
The Analyst in Portfolio Management will be part of the team overseeing real estate fund performance. This position centers on analysing portfolio data, maintaining financial models, and preparing decision-support materials that help guide investment choices, portfolio optimization, and capital allocation. The overall aim is to help deliver the funds’ investment strategy and improve risk-adjusted returns for investors.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio monitoring and analysis
- Support recurring fund reporting by building and updating financial models and analytical workpapers.
- Keep private fund financial models accurate and current.
Reporting and investor support
- Partner with finance and asset management teams to compile regular portfolio and management reports.
- Help with investor relations tasks, including creating material for investor communications and updates.
Portfolio strategy and capital allocation
- Assist the fund management team with portfolio matters, including monitoring leasing and operating performance of assets.
- Contribute analysis for portfolio construction and capital allocation decisions using long-term market views, asset performance, and strategic priorities.
- Provide input that helps refine investment and asset management approaches in line with the funds’ long-term goals.
Transactions and capital management
- Support acquisitions and divestments by preparing financial models, carrying out due diligence analysis, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with fund-raising activities for new funds, including presentation preparation, data analysis, and coordination with finance and legal teams.
- Help execute documentation related to fund compliance and ensure requirements are met for both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in real estate business or private equity investment.
- Strong ability in analysis and financial modelling, along with good commercial judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus strong interpersonal ability.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams and seniority levels.
- Self-driven, collaborative, detail-focused, organised, and quick to pick up new concepts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
