Role overview
This opportunity is for an undergraduate candidate to join the Risk Solutions team in New York. The role supports risk advisory work, trade execution, and general client coverage for private equity, corporate, and other non-bank end users. You will also contribute ideas for improvements to DerivativeEDGE, the firm’s technology platform. The position is suited to someone who is comfortable in a lean setting where individual contribution matters and where there is direct exposure to senior stakeholders and high-profile clients.
What you will do
- Support client coverage work across risk identification, analysis, hedge strategy development, pricing, analytics, trade execution, portfolio upkeep, and reporting.
- Help discuss market risks, hedging options, and expected outcomes with clients.
- Work with hedge banks and other client relationship partners to move transaction processes forward.
- Create client-facing materials, market commentary, and educational content.
- Handle internal and pre-trade or post-trade activities such as onboarding, documentation, confirmations, and valuations.
- Assist senior team members and contribute to broader firm-wide initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Currently finishing, or recently finished, an undergraduate degree with graduation expected by June 2025; a GPA of 3.25 or above is preferred.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both in writing and in presentations or day-to-day collaboration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with an interest in further strengthening these tools.
- Strong attention to detail and an organized, solution-oriented approach while managing multiple deadlines.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to use technology and new ideas to improve efficiency and impact.
- Fast learner who is comfortable taking on varied responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm for helping a growing business succeed.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to Bloomberg or similar derivatives pricing platforms.
- Previous internship experience at a bulge bracket bank or private equity firm.
Location and work pattern
This role is based in New York City and requires five days per week in the office.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a base salary between $80,000 and $90,000, along with discretionary bonus eligibility and equity. The compensation package is also described as including salary, equity, and an annual bonus.
