Job description
About GoodQues
GoodQues describes itself as a research partner that blends qualitative and quantitative methods with creative study design and people-centered thinking. The company helps major brands better understand consumers through insight work that is both rigorous and imaginative.
It is recognized as a company to watch globally in research, has been included in the Inc. 5000, and has worked with brands such as Adobe, P&G, Unilever, FanDuel, Pepsi, and Bayer. The team is small, founder-led, and known for delivering work beyond its size.
Role Overview
The company is looking for an Analyst, Consumer Insights & AI. This person will handle mixed-methods analysis and use modern AI tools to move quickly, sharpen thinking, and translate complex consumer data into clear, human-centered narratives.
This is not a conventional business analyst position or an Excel-only research job. The role spans survey data, tracker studies, segmentation outputs, open-ended responses, transcripts, forums, and AI-assisted synthesis. It sits at the intersection of consumer behavior, data analysis, storytelling, and AI-powered insight creation.
Key Responsibilities
AI will be part of the day-to-day workflow, alongside core analytical and collaborative work.
- Apply AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other LLM-based systems to speed up theme discovery, clustering, and insight generation across qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Create lightweight analytical experiences in HTML, including interactive insight pages that make findings easier for teams and clients to explore.
- Develop reusable analysis modules such as prompt chains, templates, scripts, or workflows to standardize recurring work like trackers, open-ended responses, and segmentation outputs.
- Build shared, AI-supported project assets that several team members can use, such as insight hubs, live summary pages, or structured synthesis documents.
- Prototype internal AI agents or GPT-based tools that help with recurring activities like coding open-ended answers, generating toplines, and summarizing datasets.
- Work closely with researchers and strategists to make AI part of active project delivery rather than a hidden back-end step.
- Review and challenge AI-generated outputs to make sure they are accurate, logically sound, and narratively strong before client delivery.
- Clean, organize, and analyze quantitative data in Excel, with occasional use of Google Sheets or BI tools.
- Perform descriptive analysis, cross-tabulations, and basic statistical reporting.
- Contribute to segmentation work, tracking studies, and pricing or concept testing projects.
- Present data in clear, client-ready formats such as charts, tables, and simple dashboards.
- Collaborate with research leads, strategists, and designers to move projects from raw data to final outputs.
- Help with proposal and pitch support when quick analysis is needed, including data pulls and competitive scans.
- Keep improving how AI is used across projects by testing ideas and building better workflows, not just executing fixed tasks.
What Success Looks Like
Performance will be judged on both efficiency and quality. Strong performance means faster delivery, sharper insights, better use of AI to reduce manual effort, consistent data structure, reusable analysis systems, positive feedback from internal teams and clients, and meaningful contribution to stronger AI-enabled workflows.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is less about a perfect résumé and more about how they think, learn, and use tools in practice.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an analytical role such as market research, consulting, insights, analytics, business analytics, or a similar field.
- Advanced comfort with Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning, and basic modeling.
- Practical fluency with AI tools for improving thinking, writing, coding, and analysis, not just for asking simple questions.
- Ability to work with both structured data such as surveys, sales, and tracking studies, and unstructured data such as open-ended text, transcripts, and forums.
- Strong analytical judgment with the habit of questioning outputs rather than accepting them at face value.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain what data means, not only what it shows.
- A mindset focused on building systems and improving processes instead of handling only one-off analyses.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay.
- Fully remote work with flexibility in how you organize your day.
- Travel expected 1 to 2 times per quarter for industry conferences and client events.
- Opportunity to work closely with a fast-growing founder-led company that does things differently.
- Direct mentorship and access to experienced co-founders who are invested in your growth.
Additional Information
This role is designed for someone who wants to combine consumer insights work with AI-enabled analysis, experiment with new ways of working, and help shape internal workflows as the company grows.
