The AOO is also tasked with providing necessary responses to emergencies as outlined in the Airport Emergency Plan. Exceptional communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers, stakeholders, senior management, government agencies, and emergency services to guarantee the efficient and effective execution of operational plans and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous compliance with all company management systems, policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and processes, including those mandated by regulators, certification bodies, and the Abu Dhabi Environment, Health, and Safety Management System.

  • Achieve team objectives and individual performance targets.
  • Supervise contractor activities on the airfield, ensuring all work is conducted under valid work permits and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate all essential components of the safety management system into daily tasks.
  • Participate in shift briefings at the start of each duty to incorporate lessons learned from previous activities through a "plan, do, check, review" process.
  • Respond to all aerodrome incidents and accidents, reporting them according to standard procedures.
  • Provide escorts for police vehicles, VIP vehicles, ambulances, and contractors as needed.
  • Offer follow-me services for aircraft when required.
  • Participate in all airport emergencies in alignment with the ADIA emergency plan.
  • Undertake necessary training and familiarization to meet business needs and maintain the validity of the aerodrome certificate.
  • Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Undertake any additional assignments as directed by airside operations management.

Additional Responsibilities

The role involves maintaining airside safety and operational compliance through regular aerodrome inspections, airside enforcement, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control, wildlife hazard management, and close supervision of aircraft turnaround processes. The position also supports incident investigations, adverse weather operations, disabled aircraft recovery, and the monitoring of third-party service providers to ensure adherence to all regulatory and operational standards.
