Job description

About DemandTec

DemandTec is a commercial trade intelligence platform serving the retail sector. Its unified demand science platform brings together pricing, promotions, markdowns, and trade funds so retailers and CPG brands can make better decisions, strengthen commercial relationships, improve margin, and win at shelf. The company brings more than 25 years of retail expertise, a network of 7,800+ CPG suppliers, and more than 120 retail banners. Supported by Longshore Capital, DemandTec is growing quickly, adding new capabilities, expanding internationally, and hiring to support that momentum.

Role summary

The AI Content Specialist will lead content creation across DemandTec’s owned newsletter, social channels, thought leadership, and CPG network engagement efforts. This position is built for someone who treats AI tools as a core part of their daily workflow, paired with strong editorial judgment and the ability to produce high-quality content efficiently. You will create and publish material that strengthens category authority, grows the company’s owned audience, and supports demand generation, while partnering closely with the PMM and SVP on editorial planning.

Core responsibilities

  • Manage the full content production cycle using AI tools such as Claude, Jasper, or similar platforms to draft, refine, and publish content across multiple formats and channels.
  • Create and improve prompt systems and AI-assisted workflows that keep tone, quality, and brand voice consistent across all outputs.
  • Maintain a reliable multi-channel editorial calendar and deliver content on schedule without lowering standards.
  • Lead the flagship newsletter, The CTI Brief, from content planning through copywriting and sending, with the goal of making it essential reading for retail and CPG professionals.
  • Shape newsletter themes that support DemandTec’s positioning and broader thought leadership strategy.
  • Monitor newsletter performance and optimize based on open rates, click-through rates, subscriber growth, and audience quality.
  • Own the company’s LinkedIn presence, including company-page content, posting cadence, and executive social support for key leaders.
  • Plan and execute a social calendar that reinforces category leadership, highlights proof points, and encourages engagement with retail and CPG audiences.
  • Write blog posts, articles, and point-of-view content with the PMM and SVP to support category authority and demand generation programs.
  • Develop content for CPG network engagement initiatives aimed at the 7,800+ supplier community on the platform.
  • Work with the Brand and Events marketer to ensure content supports event marketing, trade show activity, and sponsored placements.

Experience and qualifications

  • Between 1 and 3 years of content experience in B2B technology, SaaS, or a related environment.
  • Strong practical experience using AI content tools every day, understanding both their strengths and their limitations while applying careful editorial review.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, audience-focused copy that gets attention rather than simply filling a schedule.
  • Background in managing or contributing to a B2B social media presence with measurable outcomes.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a multi-channel content calendar with limited oversight.

Preferred background

  • Experience creating content for retail, CPG, supply chain, or enterprise software audiences.
  • Exposure to newsletter or email marketing, including ownership of performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar tools for content distribution and tracking.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary for this role is $50,000 to $60,000, depending on experience. DemandTec offers health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and support for professional development.

Equal opportunity and work authorization

DemandTec is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. Applicants must already have authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, both now and in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
