About the company
Mucommune, LLC is an early-stage research and development organization grounded in nearly ten years of work in pharmaceutical research, with strengths in drug delivery and antibody engineering. The team is currently advancing solutions in female reproductive health, including non-hormonal contraceptives, probiotics, and anti-microbial approaches, along with immune cell therapies for cancer. This role supports a multidisciplinary group working on therapies that could have a large global impact.
Compensation and schedule
The pay for this role can go up to $35 per hour, depending on experience. The company is open to flexible scheduling within Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a workload of about 25 to 30 hours each week. Benefits are not included. There may be an opportunity to move into a full-time position with benefits based on performance.

What you will do
- Handle purchasing for laboratory materials by preparing purchase requests and gathering pricing from vendors.
- Keep order status and buying records up to date and accurate.
- Accept incoming deliveries, check them, record them, and put materials away correctly.
- Arrange product returns and help fix shipping or delivery problems.
- Confirm deliveries and keep the related paperwork organized.
- Set up vendor visits for calibration, servicing, and repair of equipment.
- Organize recurring preventive maintenance for laboratory instruments.
- Share service timelines in a way that limits disruption to lab activity.
- Keep laboratory areas tidy and orderly, including benches and workstations.
- Track chemical stock and refresh inventory records.
- Maintain compliance paperwork such as Safety Data Sheets and Certificates of Analysis when needed.
- Carry out regular cleaning and organization of refrigerators and freezers.
Qualifications and expectations
Applicants should have a high school diploma and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal person will be comfortable working in a fast-moving, startup-style environment, able to manage several tasks at once, and careful about following instructions exactly. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Prior exposure to industrial safety practices, such as OSHA, shipping, hazardous waste handling, and disposal, is preferred.
Additional information
This is a part-time, on-site administrative laboratory support role. It does not involve bench work. The work focuses on lab operations support, logistics, documentation, inventory, and coordination rather than experimental lab duties.
