About the Role
Amgen is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to an Executive Director, Directors, and other staff within the Oncology division. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex calendars, coordinating virtual and in-person meetings across various time zones.
- Arrange travel and process expense reports efficiently.
- Support special projects and assist in preparing presentations and meeting agendas.
- Maintain departmental email distribution lists.
- Prepare meeting agendas and document action items as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's degree with 2 years of administrative experience, OR 2 years of technical school experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of administrative experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative support role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with MyBuy, WebEx, MSTeams, SharePoint, and Concur is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Must be a strategic problem-solver with a proactive approach to anticipating and resolving logistical issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Must exercise discretion when handling proprietary information.
- A helpful, can-do attitude with a solution-oriented mindset is essential.
- Must be a polite, personable, and effective team player.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure is required.
