Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Administration Officer to join a residential aged care team in Biloela, where the role centres on rostering, payroll, and accounts support. This position helps keep staff schedules accurate, payroll processed on time, and daily operations running smoothly while supporting quality care for residents.

Employment details

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday at Wahroonga Aged Care in Biloela, Queensland.

Compensation

The hourly rate is $31.46 per hour, plus superannuation, salary packaging, and access to staff discounts and benefits.

Key duties

In this role, you will combine administrative coordination with workforce and finance support to ensure the service operates efficiently and remains compliant.

  • Plan and maintain staff rosters so coverage is adequate and award requirements are met.
  • Prepare payroll accurately and within deadlines, including checking timesheets and managing leave information.
  • Keep employee files current and support documentation for new starters.
  • Provide professional customer service to staff members, residents, and their families.
  • Manage sensitive information carefully, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Support general accounts tasks, including accounts payable duties when needed.
  • Assist the Service Manager with reporting, scheduling, and broader administrative work.

What you will bring

The ideal candidate is organised, adaptable, and comfortable working with systems and multiple priorities.

  • Previous administration experience, with rostering and payroll exposure highly valued.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and multitasking ability.
  • Clear communication and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and payroll or rostering software.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening clearance and a valid Police Check.
