About the Role
Provident Healthcare is hiring an Accounts Receivable Manager with direct experience in Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) billing. This role supports a fast-growing organization focused on addiction and behavioral health services. It is a blended position with approximately 70% hands-on billing work and 30% team leadership, and it offers a clear path toward a fully management-focused role as the company expands.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate insurance claims, with a primary emphasis on Medicaid and substance abuse billing, while commercial insurance billing is expected to follow.
- Apply electronic remittance advice (ERAs) and explanation of benefits (EOBs) to patient accounts.
- Review and reconcile accounts receivable statements when needed.
- Maintain resident account records and keep them current.
- Work closely with two utilization review staff members on collections and verification activities, and coordinate with external vendors, insurance contacts, and other third parties.
- Keep up with billing rules, payer policy changes, and current industry practices.

Qualifications
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in SUD billing, with Medicare and Medicaid experience required.
- Behavioral health billing experience in Indiana and/or Iowa is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Point Click Care, Waystar, and/or Availity billing platforms.
- Ability to work US business hours in a fully remote setup.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and a solid work ethic.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working independently while knowing when to ask for help.
