Role Summary
This is a full-time remote opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Manager supporting a client organization. The position focuses on revenue operations, collections, billing accuracy, and keeping financial records aligned with recognized accounting standards. The role is open to candidates working from anywhere in Kenya or remotely.
What You Will Do
- Create and refine accounts receivable policies and workflows that improve invoicing and collection efficiency.
- Track aging reports closely and follow up on overdue balances to reduce revenue leakage.
- Work with sales, client success, and finance teams to fix billing issues and strengthen cash flow.
- Maintain compliance with revenue recognition rules while ensuring books and records remain accurate.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal review and decision-making.
Experience and Technical Fit
The ideal candidate should bring at least 5 years of background in revenue accounting or accounts receivable leadership. Strong hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite or similar systems is important, along with familiarity with GAAP revenue recognition and financial reporting practices. The role also requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to explain financial matters clearly to colleagues who may not have a finance background.
