Job description
Role overview
This position sits within finance and accounting and reports to the Finance and Admin Head. The role is centered on strengthening value for both internal teams and external stakeholders by keeping finance processes controlled, accurate, and aligned with project budgets and approved procedures.
Core purpose
The officer will oversee essential finance activities, maintain employee pay and benefits records, support payout approvals, and keep spending within policy limits. The role also involves invoice approval, receipt issuance, budget forecasting, and ensuring financial records are completed and delivered on time.
Key duties
Day-to-day work includes supporting the Operations team during the Monthly Operations Review, identifying opportunities to lower costs and improve operations, contributing to the annual budget cycle, preparing regular forecasts, and analyzing operational performance.
- Handle bill payments and code invoices as part of accounts payable processing.
- Scan accounts payable invoices and prepare journal entries.
- Track withholding tax slips and follow up where needed.
- Compile the Monthly Management Reporting Book, including printing, binding, collating, and distributing it.
- Support financial management by working within client budgets and protecting agreed profit margins.
- Check that quotations and incoming/outgoing cost figures are correct.
- Monitor expenses and ensure client billing is accurate and issued on time.
- Help update the monthly billing sheet.
Required knowledge and capability
The role calls for strong familiarity with QuickBooks or SAGE, a good grasp of auditing concepts, the ability to interpret accounting records and prepare detailed reports, strong communication skills, advanced Excel capability, and sound knowledge of taxes, especially VAT.

Experience and education
