About the Role
BDO Gisborne is seeking a meticulous Accounting Administrator to join their Agribusiness division. This position involves providing essential office and financial administrative support to both the Gisborne team and their diverse client base. You will become part of a team deeply integrated within the local community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive office and financial administrative assistance to the Agribusiness team.
- Support with the processing and reconciliation of accounts.
- Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of all records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to address inquiries and collect necessary information.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that prioritizes accuracy and exceptional client care.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of three years of experience in an administrative or accounting capacity, ideally within a comparable setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Xero accounting software.
- Solid understanding of fundamental office and financial principles, systems, and procedures.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive professional relationships.
- Excellent client service capabilities.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and professional behaviour.
- Adaptability and flexibility in approach.
- Previous experience with payroll software is advantageous.
