Danat Al Emarat is a leading specialist hospital for women and children based in Abu Dhabi. Its services span areas such as neonatology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and women’s health. The hospital is also among the few in the UAE with a dedicated fetal medicine department and a full neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), making it a regional referral destination for high-risk pregnancies and fragile newborns needing Level III intensive care.

The Accountant II role reports to the Finance Business Partner and involves managing a range of accounting and finance tasks. The position supports annual budget control, financial reporting, and adherence to the appropriate standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Record, review, and submit daily and monthly journal entries, including accrual-related entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, bank, prepaid balances, and fixed assets, and follow up on any variances or mismatches.
  • Prepare reliable financial statements, including the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Handle month-end and year-end close processes and complete them according to deadlines.
  • Make sure all transactions follow internal procedures, local tax rules, and applicable international accounting standards.
  • Assist internal and external audit work by preparing schedules, analyzing variances, and sharing supporting documents.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
  • Up to 5 years of relevant, progressive work experience is needed.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial control within a large, complex organization is expected.

This is a full-time onsite role in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
