Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for keeping financial records accurate, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, assisting with tax and compliance activities, and contributing to month-end, year-end, and audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the general ledger current and accurate by properly coding and recording journal entries, receipts, and payments.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks, including vendor invoice processing, payment verification, and monitoring outstanding customer balances for follow-up collection.
- Carry out monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany balance checks, and subsidiary ledger reviews to identify and clear mismatches.
- Support VAT return preparation and filing on a monthly or quarterly basis in line with ZATCA requirements, and ensure compliance with e-invoicing rules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries.
- Prepare draft balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports for management review.
- Support external and internal audits by organizing documents, schedules, and analytical information needed by auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, ideally in professional services, engineering consultancy, or a corporate setting in Saudi Arabia.
- SOCPA registration is strongly preferred or may be required.
- Progress toward CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification will be considered an advantage.
