Job description

Job Summary

The Account Officer will oversee day-to-day financial activities, keep accounting records accurate, and support the wider finance team at Dangote Cement Plc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payables and receivables processing.
  • Carry out reconciliations for vendors and bank statements.
  • Take part in monthly stock counts and inventory valuation.
  • Draft financial statements and periodic reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Help ensure adherence to applicable financial rules and regulations.
  • Review financial data, analyze trends, and suggest improvements.
  • Keep accounting records current, complete, and accurate.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance finance workflows and controls.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Applicants should have 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Working knowledge of accounting applications and Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.
  • Good written and verbal communication, along with interpersonal skills, is expected.

Additional Information

This role is based in Nigeria and is offered on a full-time, on-site basis.
