Job description
Job Summary
The Account Officer will oversee day-to-day financial activities, keep accounting records accurate, and support the wider finance team at Dangote Cement Plc.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payables and receivables processing.
- Carry out reconciliations for vendors and bank statements.
- Take part in monthly stock counts and inventory valuation.
- Draft financial statements and periodic reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Help ensure adherence to applicable financial rules and regulations.
- Review financial data, analyze trends, and suggest improvements.
- Keep accounting records current, complete, and accurate.
- Work with colleagues to enhance finance workflows and controls.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Working knowledge of accounting applications and Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.
- Good written and verbal communication, along with interpersonal skills, is expected.
Additional Information
This role is based in Nigeria and is offered on a full-time, on-site basis.
