Job description

Role overview

This is a quota-driven Account Executive position focused on winning new business while also growing existing accounts. The role sits within a fully remote team and involves managing a portfolio of speakers, building relationships with clients across corporations, associations, and conferences, and turning opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.

About the organization

The company works with leading organizations to connect them with ideas, expertise, and insights that shape the future. Its network includes more than 200 recognized thought leaders, such as bestselling authors, former chief executives, economists, technologists, scientists, policymakers, and academics. These experts regularly support senior leaders, boards, investors, governments, and major conferences.

Clients include large enterprises, global financial institutions, major associations, executive leadership teams, and conference organizers. The business helps them navigate topics such as leadership, artificial intelligence, innovation, organizational change, economic uncertainty, and other important business issues.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of a revenue target and keep the sales pipeline healthy through both inbound and outbound activity.
  • Turn incoming leads into signed engagements by using consultative discovery, qualification, and expert matching.
  • Reach out to target accounts through prospecting, referrals, networking, industry events, and social selling.
  • Build trust with senior decision-makers across corporations, associations, and conference organizations.
  • Grow existing relationships by identifying additional stakeholders, business units, and new opportunities.
  • Act as the main contact for an assigned group of speakers.
  • Build strong knowledge of each speaker’s expertise, market positioning, and commercial potential.
  • Work with speakers to align their expertise with client needs and market demand.
  • Handle opportunities from first conversation through contract completion and successful delivery.
  • Keep CRM records accurate, forecast revenue carefully, and coordinate with marketing, operations, and leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of success in a quota-carrying sales role with responsibility for both new business development and account expansion.
  • Experience selling consultative services, expertise-based offerings, professional services, executive education, advisory services, talent, research, or similar high-value solutions.
  • Comfort working with senior stakeholders, including CEOs, CHROs, Chief Learning Officers, leadership development leaders, strategy executives, innovation leaders, private equity operating partners, and conference or association leaders.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and business development abilities.
  • Very strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a corporate office setting or an event services company.

Compensation and structure

The package includes a competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives, with compensation linked to the employee’s location, the opportunities generated, revenue growth, account development, and overall contribution to the business.

Indicative pay bands are listed for New York and San Francisco at a base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 plus incentives, and for London at a base salary of £65,000 to £90,000 plus incentives.

Work arrangement

This is a fully remote role. Occasional travel will be required for client meetings, conferences, and speaker engagements.

Benefits

The organization offers a remote-first setup along with two health insurance plan options, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match, dependent care flexible spending account, self-funded dental and vision coverage, cancer and accident coverage, an Employee Assistance Program, funded learning opportunities, unlimited PTO, and 10 paid company holidays each year.
