About the role

PUMA is seeking an Account Executive to manage and grow Running Specialty business across a designated territory in Massachusetts. This is a remote, full-time role with significant travel, including occasional weekends for important events. The position focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving sell-in and sell-through, and supporting both wholesale account management and territory growth.

What you’ll do

  • Travel frequently across the assigned territory to visit Running Specialty accounts; some weekend travel may be necessary for key events.
  • Represent the brand at retailer events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Deliver a high standard of service and product knowledge from initial presentation through to sell-through.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with accounts and internal teams to support business growth.
  • Oversee the full management of the wholesale account base, including product presentations, training, business planning, order entry, merchandising, and sell-through execution.
  • Work toward yearly sales volume and distribution goals for the territory and key accounts.
  • Ensure orders are placed and delivered by the required booking deadlines.
  • Share weekly account and sales updates with the Channel Sales Manager, covering prebook and quarterly target progress.
  • Identify and develop new Running Specialty accounts within the assigned area.
  • Provide brand and product training throughout the territory when needed to support market sales.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales Support on a daily and weekly basis to review open orders and confirm shipments are moving forward.

What you need

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in outside sales is preferred, ideally within running or the sports industry.
  • Prior experience as a competitive high school or collegiate runner is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Strong, current knowledge of running footwear and apparel, including awareness of competing brands.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
  • Strong energy, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to present products and brand messaging effectively using presentation and spreadsheet tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while staying focused on key business goals.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this role is $82,000 to $111,315, plus bonus and benefits. Pay may differ based on relevant job knowledge, skills, and experience.
