Job description

Role Overview

Furen International School is looking for committed full-time academic teachers to join its high school team in Singapore. The role involves teaching international students across core subjects and supporting them in reaching strong academic outcomes.

The school is hiring for the following subject areas: English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, and Chinese (part-time).

Teachers in this position will help learners prepare for Cambridge IGCSE, CIE A-Level, and standardized tests such as IELTS and ACT.

Key Duties

  • Design, prepare, and deliver lessons that suit students’ academic levels and individual learning needs.
  • Create, administer, and evaluate assessments such as tests, quizzes, and assignments with fairness and accuracy.
  • Give students clear feedback, academic guidance, and extra support when needed to strengthen learning progress.
  • Track student performance, spot areas of weakness, and apply methods that help learners improve.
  • Contribute to a positive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment that encourages motivation and participation.
  • Take part in department meetings, curriculum planning, and other professional development activities as required.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. A solid A-Level academic background in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Economics is preferred.

Fresh graduates and final-year undergraduates are welcome to apply.

Strong interest in teaching and helping students succeed is important, along with the ability to communicate well with students, parents, and colleagues.

Experience or familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE, CIE A-Level, IELTS, and ACT is considered an advantage.

Working Schedule and Benefits

The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding public holidays.
