About the role

This position calls for a natural writer with a sharp journalist’s instinct and a refined, expressive style. The ideal person can take almost any raw input and shape it into writing that people actually want to read. Research and admin support tools are acceptable, but the writing itself must come from you; we want clear craft, original thinking, and the ability to explain the choices behind your work. The role is about genuine storytelling ability rather than AI-assisted polish.

What you will do

• Transform rough source material such as notes, numerical data, company events and campaigns, incomplete ideas, historical reports, and dashboards into a compelling story.
• Produce reports that keep readers engaged from opening line to closing line, with strong structure, pacing, an effective hook, a meaningful shift, and a satisfying ending.
• Adapt your tone to corporate contexts when needed, while still pursuing the detail, quote, or fact that makes the piece feel accurate and vivid.
• Shape a recognizable writing voice that readers return to repeatedly and maintain that voice consistently across longer pieces.

Who you are

• You know how to begin a piece in a way that pulls people in and end it in a way that lingers.
• You have a reporter’s instinct for finding the real story, including the angle, the small detail, and the human element that others may miss.
• You understand pacing and structure well, including when to slow down, when to trim, and where the turning point should sit.
• You can write at length without filler and write briefly without losing impact or meaning.
• You have likely written outside of work too, such as fiction, essays, reportage, or your own newsletter, showing that the instinct exists beyond the job.
• You read regularly and broadly, and that habit is reflected in your writing style.
• If you enjoy detailed writing and narrative forms, this role will suit you well.

The strongest candidates will be asked to take part in a paid live writing session using real material, with no chance for overnight preparation, to reflect how the work is actually done.
