Role Overview

This position is a hands-on warehouse role in a cold-storage environment. The team member will help move, organise, receive, store, and dispatch freight and materials safely and accurately so warehouse operations run smoothly and deliveries stay on schedule.

Key Duties

• Manually load and unload freight within a temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Place products in the correct storage locations and keep inventory neatly arranged.
• Pick orders, build shipments, and get items ready for dispatch.
• Check freight for correctness, damage, and signs of infestation.
• Carry out sorting, labelling, wrapping, packing, and repacking work as needed.
• Take on other tasks and duties as assigned by the business.

• Availability for changing shifts, including early starts and weekends.
• Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Work may involve confined areas with around 55 inches of headroom.
• Exposure to cold-store temperatures down to -15°F, as well as outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet and retrieve product from elevated positions while using a safety cage.
• Capacity to remain standing for long periods, up to 5 hours at a time during an 8–12 hour shift.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 55 lbs to a height of 80 inches, lift up to 70 lbs to a height of 50 inches, and carry loads up to 6 feet without mechanical help.
