Role Summary
This full-time remote Vice President position is responsible for steering strategic, operational, and commercial priorities across the company’s engineering consultancy business. The role calls for leadership of project portfolios, guidance to project managers and technical specialists, and consistent delivery standards across infrastructure, water systems, architectural engineering, and BIM-led design work.
Key Focus Areas
- Define business objectives and translate them into actionable plans.
- Manage relationships with clients and other key stakeholders.
- Review proposals and contracts to support commercial decision-making.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams so schedules and budget goals are met.
- Drive business development and pursue new growth opportunities.
- Track market movements to inform strategy and positioning.
- Support resource planning and broader organizational performance decisions.
- Apply governance, risk control, and continuous improvement practices.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive remote work culture.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring leadership experience from engineering consultancy or a similar environment, with responsibility for project management, design, and supervision activities. A strong background in infrastructure, water transmission and distribution, and rainwater drainage or comparable civil/utility disciplines is important. Experience with architectural engineering, BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination is also expected.
Additional Qualifications
- Proven ability in strategic planning, business growth, and client management within a technical services business.
- Strong control over budgeting, financial review, and performance tracking for large or complex portfolios.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including remote collaboration.
- Experience introducing quality, safety, and risk management systems into engineering or construction projects.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Experience in the UAE, GCC, or international engineering markets is an added advantage.
- Comfort using digital collaboration tools and the ability to mentor and develop diverse teams remotely.
