Venture Capital Analyst

Role overview

This position focuses on sourcing, studying, and assessing potential investments in startups and fast-growing businesses. It contributes to investment decisions by combining market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and portfolio tracking.

What you will do

• Review industries, new technologies, and market movements to spot companies with strong growth potential.
• Assess startup business models, competitive strengths, customer acquisition approaches, scalability, and addressable markets.
• Build financial models and carry out valuation work to judge opportunity quality and possible returns.
• Study financial statements, revenue trends, operating metrics, funding records, and key performance indicators.
• Support deal sourcing by tracking startup ecosystems, innovation centers, accelerator programs, and founder networks.
• Help maintain a pipeline of prospective investments for review.
• Take part in due diligence by examining leadership teams, market position, operating performance, and business risks.
• Prepare investment memos, research documents, presentations, and recommendations for internal discussions and investment committee reviews.
• Monitor portfolio companies by following financial results, strategic milestones, fundraising activity, and market changes.
• Provide insights that support portfolio management and value-creation efforts.
• Work with investment professionals, founders, advisors, and other stakeholders to support execution and long-term growth.

Qualifications and skills
