Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Technician position in Sharjah. The selected candidate will inspect, test, and refurbish laptops, desktops, hard drives, memory modules, and other IT equipment in line with ITAD and R2V3 requirements. The job includes troubleshooting hardware faults, carrying out repairs or part replacements, securely preparing devices for data wiping, recording completed work in internal systems, following quality checks, observing safety and environmental rules, keeping inventory organized, and working with the wider team to achieve monthly processing goals.

Key Duties

• Examine incoming laptops, desktops, hard drives, memory modules, and related hardware for faults or damage.
• Test equipment, identify technical issues, and perform repairs or replace defective components.
• Handle devices securely before data wiping and support the data-erasure workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection, repair, and testing activities in internal systems.
• Follow established quality control steps, workplace safety practices, and environmental guidelines.
• Keep hardware, parts, and inventory neatly organized to support efficient operations.
• Coordinate with teammates to meet monthly throughput and processing targets.

Candidate Profile

• Practical ability to diagnose, repair, and test laptops, desktops, hard drives, and memory components.
• Comfort working within standard procedures, quality controls, and safety rules in an ITAD or electronics-processing environment.
• Basic understanding of data protection practices and secure device handling for erasure-related work.
• Strong organizational habits and time management skills for handling large hardware volumes and production deadlines.
• Clear verbal and written communication for logging work, escalating issues, and collaborating with colleagues.
• Willingness to work on site in a warehouse or workshop setting, including standing for long periods and handling equipment safely.
• Experience in electronics repair, computer hardware support, or IT support will be considered an advantage.
• High school education or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training in electronics, computer hardware, or a related area is preferred.
