Technical & Quality Manager

Role overview

Rude Boy Drinks is looking for a regionally based Technical & Quality Manager to act as the key technical lead across the Caribbean. In this position, you will be central to the business’s operations, driving quality performance and managing assurance and control activities throughout the supply chain and production network.

You will collaborate closely with the Technical & NPD Consultant, who will provide strategic input, direction, and ongoing mentorship. Working together, you will turn standards into practical action, stay ahead of operational issues, solve problems directly at site level, and make sure technical expectations are consistently met across the region. This role is ideal for a practical, technically capable professional who enjoys ownership, influence, and delivering results that work exceptionally well.

Quality assurance and control

As the main quality point of contact across supply and production partners, you will oversee on-the-ground quality performance and ensure standards are upheld.

• Act as the primary on-site quality contact for all supply and manufacturing partners.
• Carry out frequent site inspections, quality audits, and process assessments at production facilities across the region.
• Detect, analyse, and close out quality and QC issues at the source, while supporting corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, uphold, and apply product specifications, quality benchmarks, and acceptance criteria for all SKUs.
• Perform regular product checks and sensory evaluations so products continue to meet brand expectations.

Technical and production support

You will also help keep production running smoothly by supporting trials, resolving technical issues, and managing supplier relationships.

• Assist with production trials, troubleshooting, and on-site operational execution.
• Manage technical partnerships with ingredient, packaging, and manufacturing suppliers.

New product development

This role contributes to product innovation by supporting development activities from the initial brief through to launch.

• Support new product development projects from concept brief to market launch, including ingredient sourcing, production trials, and commercial formulation work.

Regulatory and compliance

You will help ensure products and processes remain compliant with regional requirements and approvals.

• Prepare and assist with regulatory filings, product registrations, and approvals across Caribbean markets.
• Maintain adherence to local food, beverage, and alcohol regulations.

Experience and qualification requirements

• Between 3 and 6 years of experience in quality, technical, or product development roles within beverage manufacturing.
• A relevant qualification in food science, food technology, chemistry, or a closely related field.
• Working knowledge of quality control systems, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take ownership.
• Availability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Caribbean region.
