About the Opportunity

An established multi-disciplinary consultancy in Manukau is seeking an experienced Survey Technician for an immediate start. This is a temporary assignment covering extended leave, ideal for someone who can work independently, move quickly on site, and contribute without the need for close supervision. The work will span a variety of land development and general surveying projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out field surveying work on your own, including cadastral, construction, topographic, precise levelling, as-built, and HIRB surveys.
Use 12d and Landonline to complete office-based calculations and data processing.
Operate and look after survey equipment such as GPS units, Total Stations, and Robotic Total Stations.
Record quality assurance checks accurately for all field activities and follow site health and safety requirements at all times.
Coordinate with project managers and other teams to produce drawings, reports, and client deliverables to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

This role is not designed for training. The right person should be ready to contribute from day one and bring strong hands-on experience in the field.

Demonstrated ability to work independently on survey jobs without close guidance.
Practical experience with 12d software and Landonline.
Strong background in land development surveying, along with good maths and computer skills used in modern surveying work.
Clear communication skills for working with internal engineering and planning teams, as well as outside stakeholders.
