Role overview
This position supports the security function in a retail setting by assisting Security Officers, Senior Security Officers, and Security Supervisors with day-to-day operations. The role focuses on maintaining coverage, coordinating the team, and helping ensure a safe and orderly environment.
Key duties
- Back up the security team in routine operational tasks across shifts.
- Plan and coordinate manpower so that security coverage remains sufficient at all times.
- Coach junior officers on security procedures and how to respond to incidents.
- Work alongside team members to help maintain a secure retail environment.
- Support the security leadership in applying company policies, SOPs, and safety rules.
- Assist during emergencies, incidents, crowd management situations, and special events.
- Help keep communication clear between security staff and store management.
- Observe team performance and escalate operational concerns to supervisors or management.
- Lead shift briefings and share important operational instructions with the team.
- Contribute to the onboarding, training, and growth of new security officers.
