Sr. Engineer - Plumbing Design

About the Role

Dar Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Design Engineer for building projects in Gurgaon. This role is suited to a professional who can create reliable, code-compliant plumbing and fire protection designs for a variety of project types while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create plumbing designs for water supply, drainage, stormwater, and fire suppression systems across commercial, residential, and institutional buildings.
• Develop drawings, layouts, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Carry out pipe sizing, flow analysis, pressure drop evaluation, and equipment selection.
• Work in coordination with architects and other MEP disciplines to maintain design consistency and project quality.
• Ensure all deliverables align with applicable local and international standards such as IPC, NFPA, and ASHRAE.
• Assist construction teams by responding to technical questions, reviewing submittals, and participating in site visits when required.

Qualifications and Experience

The position calls for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, along with 8 to 15 years of relevant plumbing design experience on building projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and plumbing calculation software is essential. Candidates should also have a solid grasp of international plumbing regulations, sustainable design practices, and effective coordination and communication skills.
