Site Engineer

Role overview

We are looking for a Site Engineer to manage day-to-day construction work at the project location in Dubai. The position focuses on delivering work in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality expectations, budget targets, and planned timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activity and make sure work follows the approved design and specifications.
• Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to keep execution aligned.
• Track project advancement, visit the site regularly, and address issues that arise during construction.
• Investigate and resolve technical challenges to avoid delays or quality concerns.
• Prepare material quotations and support procurement-related coordination as needed.
• Check that construction work complies with applicable building regulations and safety requirements.
• Review drawings and plans before and during execution to confirm feasibility and accuracy.
• Estimate and manage manpower needs for the site.
• Prepare progress updates and site reports for internal and project stakeholders.
• Support overall project planning and implementation to help meet scope, schedule, and delivery goals.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of background in site engineering, construction, or fit-out work.
• Good understanding of construction techniques, materials, local building codes, and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools is an added advantage.
• Prior experience liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and coordination capability.
• Ability to juggle several projects, monitor site activities, and work toward tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail with the ability to prepare reports, assess drawings, and maintain workmanship standards.
