About the Position

As a Shift Supervisor in Wollongong, you will take charge of the team during your shift and keep restaurant operations running efficiently. This is a practical leadership role where you will guide, support, and motivate staff while making sure service quality, food safety, cleanliness, and overall standards stay high.

The position suits a confident leader who performs well in a busy, fast-moving setting and enjoys improving results through strong people management.

Key Duties

• Direct and organise the team throughout your shift.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
• Make sure food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and safety requirements are consistently upheld.
• Respond to customer questions and handle concerns professionally.
• Support store opening and closing tasks when needed.
• Track stock levels and help with basic inventory control.
• Assist with cash handling, POS usage, and simple balance checks.
• Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and company policy requirements.
• Keep management informed about how the shift is progressing.

Experience and Skills

• Prior supervisory experience in hospitality, quick service restaurants, or retail.
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and encourage team members.
• Solid understanding of food safety, customer service, and operational standards.
• Comfortable working under pressure while managing competing priorities.
