Service Project Specialist

Role overview

ABB is seeking a Service Project Specialist to support the execution of service orders across Southeast Asia and other assigned regions. In this position, you will coordinate closely with Service Operations Managers, Field Service Engineers, Sales teams, Project Managers, Finance, Supply Chain, and customers to make sure service work is handled accurately, on time, and in line with company procedures.

This role sits within Automation - Process Industries (AUPI) for the Southeast Asia cluster and reports to the Regional Service Operations Manager.

The working arrangement for this position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, update, and close service orders in SAP and related business systems while keeping records accurate and compliant with internal processes.
• Track the status of orders, spot possible delays or risks, and work with the right stakeholders to keep service delivery moving smoothly and on schedule.
• Support billing by checking completion documents, releasing invoicing requests, and following up on pending administrative items so revenue can be recognized without delay.
• Maintain documentation quality by ensuring assigned tasks and customer-agreed procedures are reflected correctly and consistently.
• Follow ABB requirements related to health and safety, integrity, export control, and business process compliance throughout the full order lifecycle.
• Contribute to improvement efforts that raise operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall service performance.

You will be part of a collaborative, fast-moving, customer-oriented team and will interact with colleagues across several countries while helping drive the success of the regional service business.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in order handling, project coordination, service administration, operations support, or a comparable role in an industrial, engineering, automation, or service setting.
• Practical knowledge of ERP platforms, ideally SAP, along with experience handling service orders, procurement workflows, invoicing, and reporting.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, with the ability to work with operational data effectively.
• Well-developed organization and multitasking abilities, including the capacity to manage several priorities, meet deadlines, and stay highly detail-oriented.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence collaborating across functions, countries, and levels of the organization.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Legal authorization to work in Singapore without needing current or future employer sponsorship.
