The role may be based in Melbourne or Sydney, depending on where the selected candidate is located.
Role Purpose
As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will prepare and track debtor risk assessments, and conduct buyer visits and/or detailed interviews as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather company data through research, phone-based in-depth interviews and/or on-site visits to collect up-to-date financial, commercial and credit information for assessment requests from the DRA team.
- Carry out credit research and detailed analysis of financial ratios and overall business position, then prepare financial analysis and debtor risk assessments while keeping company information regularly reviewed and consistent.
- Contribute recommendations to the Regional Manager to help improve DRA processes and workflow quality.
- Keep the company shareholding structure updated in the system.
- Take on additional work as needed, which may include generating DRA reports using Coface’s proprietary model and monitoring sensitive files.
- Issue alerts about specific events to the Credit Lines team where needed.
- Work to maintain service quality in line with agreed service levels so Coface remains competitive in the market.
- Monitor assigned industry sectors, prepare sector reports and provide regular updates and reviews.
- Participate in special projects and submit monthly reports.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Studies, Finance, Accounting or another related field.
- Practical experience in credit risk management, with solid knowledge of financial statement analysis.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within credit risk management.
- Prior exposure to information search and collection for information companies will be considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, timely work.
- Mature, accountable, independent and self-driven, while also working well in a team.
